The Lane Academy
Offers tuition in all Dance Genres, Drama & Singing in Cambridge and the surrounding villages. Co-Principals, Vanessa & Sarah, have extensive teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers Dancing and a wealth of performing experience to pass on. Together, they run the Academy, with a team of specialist, experienced teachers.
 
 
Vanessa Cross
 
Vanessa is a Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Vanessa first qualified in 1992 and in 1993 she won the prestigious Phyllis Haylor Scholarship with the I.S.T.D for most promising newly qualified teacher of the year. Vanessa used this scholarship to help further her training with the Society and is now qualified in a variety of Dance styles, gaining an Honours Grade in her Fellowship qualification. Vanessa now offers Professional Training to dancers wishing to take teaching qualifications.                                                          
Sarah Peters
 
Sarah is a Licentiate with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Sarah took her first teaching qualification in 1998 and then also went on to be awarded the Phyllis Haylor Scholarship. Sarah continued her training at The College gaining further qualifications in other Dance Genres.
Sarah has adjudicated at ISTD Freestyle Dance Competitions and was also asked to choreograph routines for the Society's Set Dance Video Publication.
 
 
 
 
Katherine Watson
 
 
Katherine trained as a child with the Lane Academy and then went on to take a BA Hons Degree in Theatre at Middlesex University. Following this she worked for Frantic Theatre Company performing in shows for them throughout the country.
 
Following this she returned to Cambridgeshire and took her Associate Dance teaching Qualification training with the Lane Academy and recieving an Honours Grade. Katherine now runs her own theatre company Vital Spark Theatre and is head of Drama & Singing at the Lane Academy.
 
Stacey Wilson
Stacey trained as a child with the Lane Academy and then successfully auditioned for Performing Arts Colleges and spent three years training at Italia Conti, London. Her performing credits include; Top Cat at the Wimbledon Theatre, The Royal Albert Hall, Las Vegas at The NEC Birmingham, performer on the Oriana (P&O Cruises), Crazy Girls (Milan, Italy) and is now the promotional face of West End Theatre Tokens. Stacey trained for her teaching qualifications with the Lane Academy and is still part of the Academy's Guest Teaching Team.
